I've this pathological urge to not let things go. To show what this really means, I currenlty daily 3 mobile phones. 2 of which I don't use sim card anymore.

  1. Pixel 4 ( 2019 ) : Blurry Back Cam, shot frontcam and infra-red sensor, 4G Still carry it around 'cause it's fast af, and screen looks nice and yea biggest reason bein' it still has unlimited photo backups to google photos.
  2. The Nokia 808 Pureview: Priced Possession I could say, I don't think I've seen anyone else in my life who still uses this phone... Has a 41 Megapixel Camera from 2012, amoled display, wifi, 3G and a Xenon Flash. Carryin' it around to capture essense of my daily life as photos.
  3. A realme ( idek idc ): This one is the borin' phone, but it's the most reliable I could say. It has 5G and it's the cheapest realme phone that had 5G I found. It gets reall slow at times but has 128GB internal memory, I have all my work stuff in this. including my work sim card whatsapp etc.

the 1 and 2 have been giving up on me especially the 1 ie the pixel. I've repaired it way too many times that it feels unhealthy to the borderline. I replaced it's battery, repaired SoC firmware (some issues with the Titan M security chip) and will probably even fix the broken cameras if i get hold of the required parts, almost the same for my nokia, I got new batteries for that phone and capture the ones and things I love in my life. If you wanna see who I love You just gotta look through my gallery. And yea i think it's the same case when it comes to the other items that I use.

I still daily a 27 year old bike back from the 90's the Yamaha RXG 1997 model bought in 1998. I have a Maruti Suzuki A-star which is from 2008 and there are times when I've been mocked for havin' old rides and gettin' stuck on the road 'cause my wheels don't spin. But deep down a part of me still loves these old souls... They have this essense which I don' think shiny new things can give you.

I've been thinkin' a while back... if I truly am reliable in many sense. I once told someone that I've been Mr. Beanin' all my life through shitt. My decisions which includes but not limited to the choice of items I use, seriously questions my reliability. I could ease my way through all this by simply saying wabi-sabi, finding the perfections in these imperfections. Instead of savin' money for things normal people should be doin' for I now make my life mission to take care and spend it on things like this which I love.

I'm sure at this point the money I've spend on repairs might just be enough to buy better newer products instead of the ones I use. And Idk how much longer I get to keep doing this... But In my utopia, I 'd like to still keep usin' this Nokia and Pixel as daily drivers instead of a new apple or any other new smartphone, Keep using the same cycle ( maybe redo the steel frame with carbon fiber ? ) use the same car ( restored to it's peak ) and yea Ride the same bike restored to it's glory.. keepin' it hackable as ever.
